Questions about the ROOXIS Security Camera Outdoor Wireless 4K
Answers drawn from the specifications above.
No — it connects to 2.4GHz WiFi only (802.11b/g/n). 2.4GHz reaches further through walls, which suits cameras. Most dual-band routers broadcast a 2.4GHz network alongside 5GHz; connect the camera to that one during setup.
Use the free Smart Life app on iPhone or Android. The Tuya Smart app works too, with the same account. See ROOXIS Life for download links and setup.
No. Storage options: MicroSD (up to 128GB), Cloud Storage. With a microSD card in the camera, recordings are saved locally with no monthly fee; cloud storage is optional if you want footage kept off the device.
Yes — Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant. Link the Smart Life skill in your voice assistant's app, then view the camera on a smart display such as an Echo Show.
Night vision: Color + IR (up to 20m). Infrared (IR) gives a clear black-and-white picture in total darkness, and the built-in lights switch the picture to full color when you want detail like clothing colors.
Yes — 355° Pan, 90° Tilt, Digital Zoom (via app). You steer it from the app, so one camera can cover a whole room or yard instead of a fixed angle.
Yes. It is rated IP66, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against powerful jets of water such as heavy rain, and it operates from -20°C to +50°C.
It plugs into the mains: DC 12V/2A Adapter (included). There is no battery to recharge, so it records continuously as long as it has power.
